A VIRTUAL 5K RUN/WALK AND 1-MILE FAMILY FUN RUN TO SUPPORT THE UPPER MERION AREA EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION
The Upper Merion Area Educational Foundation (UMAEF) is committed to the continuing advancement of public education in the Upper Merion Area School District, by providing funds for educational programs and activities through engagement and collaboration with parents, school staff, businesses, and community members, so that every child is given the opportunity to thrive in a rigorous, engaging, and dynamic environment.
The annual Viking 5K and 1 Mile Family Fun Run/Walk is our major fundraising event in our effort to generate independent funding and developing community partnerships to recognize and encourage student and staff innovation and excellence. All proceeds raised will be used to fund the teacher-initiated projects that benefit the students of all seven schools in the district.
WHAT IS A VIRTUAL RUN/WALK?
A Virtual Run is a 5K that can be completed in your own neighborhood, at a local park, or even on the treadmill. Sign up, gather some friends, decide on a route, and get out and move! The best part is, you'll know that each step you take is helping students and teachers in the Upper Merion Area School District!
USE THE IYR VIRTUAL RACE APP
The IYR Virtual mobile app syncs with all virtual races hosted on ITS YOUR RACE, including our event! After you are registered, click the link below to find out more information about the mobile app and how to use it for tracking your 5K or 1-mile race. You can also upload photos from your own personal race course, or share a selfie at the end!
Registrants can begin running their race on May 29, 2022 at 12AM EST. Participants must complete their virtual race and submit their results by 11:59PM on June 5, 2022. After this time, results can no longer be posted.

UMAEF in their mission. You will also receive a custom "Be the Good" shirt with our logo. Shirts will be shipped directly to the address of the PARTICIPANT (not the billing address).
Elementary School Classroom Competition
The classroom with the most number of registrants (family and friends count too) will get a free Kona Ice party! You can get your free Kona Ice in June. Make sure you enter the school name and the name of the teacher in the Team field when registering.
